Today we try to take on the world

The solar array should be here any day now, hopefully. So today we are going to finish the electrical work on the cabin. Plans are to also pump out the cistern, and clean it before the rains come. That also means finishing the rain water collection system, with guttering and drain spouts.

The wasp in this house is loud, seems to be stuck in the tube nest.

Medium and Small had their first day of school yesterday. Everyone wanted to sit next to the new kid, I was informed. Friends were made fast, and a girlfriend seems to be creeping up on Medium. He was a hit with the ladies. Small informed me his teacher is loud. Yelling a lot. The secretary at the school says she gets excited and talks fast and loud when teacher. At least she has passion. They met a few of the kids that live on the ridge while on the bus. We have been told it doesn't look like anyone lives down here. Good.

Husband already has a bike to work on. Awesome start.

Small Farm Girl and her family have been wonderfully welcoming. Hopefully we don't wear them down. They have been helping out where they can. I steal their water far to often. Hopefully we can get the house functioning on that soon.

I'm so happy to hear the boys enjoyed their first day of school, met a few new friends. And Medium may have a potential girlfriend..............
I think before you know it the kids in school will be venturing down the holler to play with the boys and maybe even help out.

It truly does sound like things are coming together for ya'll.

Does your husband work on bikes for a living?
It would be awesome to live off the beaten path, we are a little too close to town. I'm not sure we will stay here forever, but it's good for now.
Happy to hear your boys had a great start to school, that's a good thing ☺

It is good your children had a good experience their first day at school. That will make it so much easier for them from here on out.

Water and electricity will make you feel civilized again.

Good for your husband. Does he have a shop yet? I just don't recall. it is hard for me to keep my own stuff on my mind...lol.
