Looking Back 2011 (picture heavy)

2011 was the start of our severe drought, making things a bit rough around the Neophyte Homestead. We still pushed on, and discovered delightful weed entrees and what to do with unripened tomatoes.

That looks like some rough terrain you folks live in. We have essentially the same animals here although I don't have rabbits or cows anymore now that the kids are grown up and gone. Same with horses and goats, too hard to take care of all by myself.

Some years are rougher than others. We go from tornadoes to dust storms, boiling hot to frostbite, from floods to droughts. Understand about animals being cumbersome to care for. Your ferrets have to be enough of a handful!

Phelan,

Soon your weather will be changing!!! Time to do the happy weather dance, lol....

I love 2011 pictures, all the animals looks so happy.

My favorite are of the calves, and the cat with wings, :-)

Love the picture of the storm rolling in/out. But I am curious about what is in the cup that looks like it has a couple of eyes at the bottom.

Sandy, the drought was rough on all of us, we tried our darnedest to keep them all happy. It's been oddly cool and rainy here the past few days.

Macbew, that is actually a cold front line. No storm! It amazed me to see it. And that is a cup with eyes. I was in the garden and saw these eyes staring at me, creepy, when I dug it out, that's all it was, a pair of eyes! :)
