We had a good, bonding, family day on Sunday.
We headed over to a new friend's place (He calls us his Buddies) and proceeded to dismantle 100 year old house walls. Salvaging the good wood so that we can start framing a chicken coop, and maybe a few other animal shelters.
Large went to the military ball so was unable to help. And someone had asked why we don't have chickens. We were not able to transport them, because Ky won't allow it, and we don't have any type of shelter for them. That will hopefully soon be rectified, and we will be able to get chickens again!

Sweet score! There's nothing much better than free as far as I'm concerned. I see chicken coop written all over that! And boys with tools of massive destruction will have you a coop built in no time.
Sounds like a plan in action to me! I know you are missing some home fresh eggs!
Good score! Free is a very good price!
I did not realize transporting chickens to a state was an issue. I doubt I will be leaving here anytime soon, but I will keep that in mind. That free coop will great for providing breakfast.
I think that someone was me. I've always had chickens and I'm always surprised when folks don't. I'm very glad you'll be getting a coop put up.
good haul! Looks like a really good day! glad you got some sunshine!
Love it!!!! Being able to recycle an old barn and use the wood for a chicken coop and what ever else is needed is a great gift.
Sounds like an awesome day.
