In Limbo

The floor is rotting under the house.

Luckily the flooring is under warranty. However we haven't received that important paperwork yet. He says he will ship it out today. This puts everything on hold. Can't finish the house until the floor is ripped up, and replaced.

The reason the house sat unfinished, is because the owner was slowly building it. Things happened and he had to sell. The reason no one wanted it? Well we have been told it is trash. The land is too wooded, and is best suited for recreation than living, or so we have been informed.

I have noticed that people are surprised we moved here without family in the area. I guess that's the typical. Many that we talk to still don't understand why we moved here. We started answering, the weather is better here. They mention the humidity and the conversation can move forward.

Boys are now enrolled in school. They start tomorrow. They are excited to have a more normal routine. So am I.

The joys of whittling.

Husband: What are you doing?

Medium: Whittling.

Husband: Get your butt off that chair & help me load this wood.

Love the chair B.T.W.

Phelan,

Give all the guys a hug from an Oklahoma friend.

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear about the floor. At least it's warrantied and once it's done things will flow smoothly for you.

School starts later there than here, which means the boys won't get out as early as the do here.

How are the animals adapting to the new place?

I hope you don't have to wait too long to get it fixed. I see no reason you can't live on "recreation" land. It's yours, isn't it, and you can clear trees to plant crops?

Anyway, I hope it all works out well for you!

What a change for all of you! How exciting, frustrating and overwhelming all at the same time. Hang in there, as I know you will overcome it all!

Do they know about your animals, that you are going to raise food? What do they think you are going to do? Well, I hope they get the papers to you so that you can start moving forward. You need to et the floors fixed before winter.
