Homesteaders in business

The collection of fiber sellers got me thinking.

Homesteaders, got a business you would like to promote? Do you run a CSA? Sell cookies? Candles? homemade items?

Let's get a collection of things going, and I will get it all sorted out and published where it can be easily found and linked to. Of course you can find the individual, but not one collective of homesteader made items. I just went searching.

I think it is high time that we push each other, boost each other, and support one another. And I want the hook-up. ~ha!~ Actually if I can buy the items I need from one of you, I will, rather then searching out some generic store.

I will even start, however I do not have a website as of yet, because I deal locally right now.

Chubby Chick Breads

Organic and locally Kansas grown ingredients. Breads, pastries, pastas and desserts. Catering and special orders available. Email for menu, prices, and events.

Serving the Wichita Metro Area.

Now it is your turn. Veggies? wheat? soap? whatcha got for me? Don't fret fiber dealers, I have your info, and will include it in the database.

Leave me your comment, with the link, even your esty store. And let me know if you have logo or pic that you would like used.

Sound like a plan?

I was just thinking yesterday how all of us that are linked to each other thru our homesteading, simple life, etc....blogs would be a large group that we can each network thru. Great of you to put it all together. I am working on several projects to have homemande items for sale. At this moment all I have is lots and lots of homemade jams and jellies.

I will be keeping track of the progress and I can support the women that join you.

Barbra, let me know when you do. Am working on the site now, since I do have several Fiber listings.

And don't forget the men as well.

Also, books. If you have a book for sale, or free download, let me know. Doesn't matter to me if it is self published or not, I love reading!

How would you like this info communicated to you? By comment here, or emailed to you?

Can men get in on this too? I know lots of folks think NY is all concrete,, I do organic gardening and am starting a solar business and would like to be included. Thanks,
Rich @ NY Homesteader

Rich, men are very welcome.

The email you listed was rejected, so I sent a note to a hotmail address that you have registered with your blogger account.

Phelan,
Sounds good to me! We're just dipping our toes into marketing our homestead products too. We'll have veggies, some fruit, jams/jellies/butters, can add baked goods and we also sell eggs and heritage turkeys( fertile eggs, live or butchered),in a couple of years we'll add grass fed only beef( from our Dexters) We may delve into fresh butchered chicken too, still working up the costs/profit.

My email is kellemt@yahoo.com, if I can help let me know.

We're just getting started and we haven't really established a "product" but we're playing around with the idea of different forms of production.
Actually, this type of networking has already occurred to me. As I said, I'm new to homesteading and homestead blogging so my connections right now are pretty weak-- it would be great to have a well-established "hub" of sorts.

By the way, I'm also a new visitor to your blog, so hello! :)
