Awww, well. A post about Small

Looks like Small didn't make it to the finals in the photo contest.

Thank you to everyone that voted for him. ( now he will probably double his efforts to get Husband to get him those ducks)

On the plus side, this is Small's favorite time of year, bug in bag building. Tornado season has begin here, that means the boys build new, seasonal bug in bags. They are not really bug out, we do leave the house with them, but only to the cellar. Small gets all excited about what to put into them. I think the storms themselves are what are exciting, and the bags just mean the anticipation of them.

He is also excited to go on a school trip to a dairy farm. When I read the description of the field trip, I had to ask him why he was excited because everything they were talking about was things we do or have here.

"they have a machine that does the milking. I've never seen a machine that milks."

Honestly, that might get me excited as well.

I think that seeing a milking machine that isn't called "Momma" might be exciting for any kid! Not an everyday kind of thing!

Field trips are a good learning experience for any youngster!

Lol on the ducks. Have fun with that! :)

When I was in grade school, we got to do the dairy trip too! Also went to a local Land O Lakes, and got to see where they processed the milk. Hope he has a great time!

I'm sorry he didn't win, I thought that was a great picture! It is a great picture, by golly!

It's nice to read about Small, and get to know him a little better. He seems like a nice kid!

Agree jim.

Rae, I bet Small would love to know butter isn't made by children shaking a jar.

Fancy, well you have known him for a very long time now, 8 years. Wow. He is turning out to be a great little man.
