Just thought I would let you know.

Pepper seedlings

Some orange sweet bell pepper seedling.

I am currently waiting for the post office to call me about some chicks.

My peppers haven't germinated yet, but most of my tomatoes have. We have 4 inches of snow on the ground. Yuck.

We ended up with a lot of sleet fist, then only about a trace of snow. I so want spring.

Yep, its Monday.
Your peppers look amazing, my tomatoes are up and cucumbers, I need some sun here, we had some sleet/rain/snow mix yesterday, we are supposed to get warmer weather here. I want spring and some warmth, I am so ready for spring.
Good luck with chicks, I wish I could have backyard poultry, but can't. I love poultry.
Have a great productive week.

We want to grow tomatoes [in buckets] on our back deck but I think we are a little late in starting the seeds. We have never grown them before. I think I will buy a few plants and see if I can keep those alive. I suck at gardening.

I think I grew a pumpkin. Once.

You still ave time to start seedings Skippy. Check out The Back Forty blogspot, Robbyn has some great articles on bucket gardening. She will be posting some on girls gone trashy soon.

I'm so sorry for your losses. Remember, just because death is a part of life on a homestead doesn't mean you shouldn't grieve when it happens. Part of taking care of YOURSELF is allowing yourself to grieve for friends when you need to do so, whether they have two legs or four.
