You ready for this?

With the large chunks of meat arriving here on Friday, I hope you all bring your appetites, as next week will be almost all about processing beef into proper cuts, and what on earth to do with it all.

For now, Husband woke me up to -16f air temps, coffee and an exhibition of what hot water does in low temps like this when flung out the back door. Wonderfully freshly brewed coffee, tasting oh so much better as I didn't brew it myself. A car that wouldn't start and a school bus over an hour late.

I know you will figure out what to do. You guys are so resourceful. I told Pooldad today I really wanted a steak, now you have me drooling.

And I agree - anything, coffee included, always tastes better when someone else makes it. :)

I can't believe they are sending the kids to school in that kind of extreme cold. I didn't realize your part of the world got such bad weather.

Any pictures of the water-throwing demo? Did it turn to snow?

I hope the boys weren't standing outside waiting for the bus!

Sorry Fancy no picks. It kind of turned into a frozen fog. And no the boys stayed inside until the bus came.
