Thank you!

I just wanted to thank you for being so great to my boys. They were thrilled with the comments. And Medium loves that he has 8 followers already. He has been bragging to his father about it.

It is hard to dictate a 6 year old's words. I so want to fix it, and then make it longer, but it is their blog, their words, and no matter how much it makes me cringe, I will let it stand.

One good thing about children, they feel no need to make posts too long or complicated. However as they get use to this blogging and become comfortable with it (not to mention as they age) you will see a change in the demeanor of the blog.

Also, you have a chance to win a Berkey water system, go here to see the details.

Phelan,
I just came from your boys blog. :)
I signed on as a follower.

I am going to enjoy reading their posts :D It will be a truly enjoyable experience to read things from a child's viewpoint. :D

Thank you, Phelan, for letting us get to know you and your family. :)

Hugs to you all

I've been reading your blog for awhile now, and I love that your kids are blogging now, too. I try to make "meatier" posts on my homesteading blog, but a lot of the time, I just want to post, "I like playing in the creek. I hate mucking poop." So, I really appreciated Small, Medium, and Large's posts. As much "work" is involved in homesteading, there's a lot of childlike wonder here, too, and reading from some homesteading kids is a lot of fun.

ooooh we can follow too? COOL - off I go to follow too!

Hey Mama - is it okay to put the boys on my blogroll so I know when they update? I like their blog and especially the pics :D [don't worry about the 6 year old - most of us have or have had a couple of those critters running around at one time or another, right? We know how they speak and write ;)]

Anyway - let me know if you just want to keep it over here or if it is okay to put them up over at my blog. Thanks! oh - one more thing - now Wallene is going to force my hand on a blog of her own - I keep putting her off, but you are right [with the boys] I should let her, eh?

Have a good one.

Skippy, it's fine to put them on your blogroll. All comments get filtered through me first. They don't have any contact info available except through me. I am being a mean mama ;)

If Wallene decides to blog, let me know.

I only have one question! Who takes the pictures for the boys' blog?

I got a kick out of reading th likes and dislikes...and can associate with most all of them, even at my age!

Good for you, letting the boys get to try out the world of the Blue Nowhere!

Jim, right now I take the photos, but have shown hem how to access our flickr account, so if you see a pic and it has nothing to do with the post, well it is there because they like it.

You will be seeing photos by them soon, last day of school is tomorrow and they will have more time to explore around with the camera.

I'm reading the boys' blog. I'm not "officially" following it because I'm seeing it on my Google Reader...but I'm keeping up with them and enjoying their posts.

I think what you are doing is fantastic. First of all you are teaching them responsibility, next you are teaching them how to think with out a parents prompting, and last but certainly not least on the homestead you are teaching them how to work. Surprised at how many kids leave home without any of these traits nowdays.
Don't worry about blog length, soon they will be filling up pages.

I really like their blog. I even have a favorite quote for today
"We shouldn't let him be a dog because he is a goat."
That cracked me up. I was reading it before but just started to follow it today. I hope they continue to have a great time with it.

Hey there lady! :) I have a lot of catching up to do! The boys are blogging now? Oh I gotta check that out. I am sure it will become a favorite- and will be showing up on my "where I hop" list.reading about the Homestead from their view I am sure will be fun.
Just so you know, I have not forgot you in my quest to the West. I am awaiting dates for the kids zoo camp which is also in July. As soon as I have everything straight, I will be sending my arrival week your way so we can schedule me in to your busy work. :)
