I think I have come a long way.
I haven't worn my brace since I arrived. Once I am strong enough to start climbing the hills, I will need to wear it again. I am not 100% but have been informed that I am doing very good for being a year out. I have hit all my goals. And not really over doing it. Although I have my days were I have walked far too much.
The nerves still fire back up on occasion. I know that I may never have full feeling again, but I was so thrilled that I could feel the itch of a mosquito bite the other day. Everyone looked at me funny as I rejoiced. Since I haven't felt anything there in a year, this was awesome. Yet when the nerves fire, it feels like a hot lighter pressed tightly against my skin. I could do well without that. (A big welcome to my new readers. If you click on the tag WRECK, you can read all about what happened)

I'm so happy that you have come so far, and truly excited for you about your new home.
Glad you are healing up. Sometimes it can take awhile after a bad accident. But even if you never get back to pre crash status, you're doing well enough to be functional and live a normal life. You have a good attitude and that's a lot of the battle right there.
I didn't realize it was a year ago today. Yes, you have come a long way, a very long way! You have strength and determination and grit! All your friends and family are very proud of you, I'm sure!
You have come a long way(has it been that long?)and I have no doubt you'll make it the rest of the way and be climbing the hills in no time! I had heard that sitting like that was called Indian style but growing up we never called it that. I've never heard it called criss cross applesauce either we just called it sitting cross legged. In our case we always pronounce the "ed" rather than just tack a "d" onto the end of leg. But I suppose either way works.
I am so glad you've come so far. I hope you continue to steadily improve.
A year that probably feels like a lifetime ago! Glad you're making good progress.
