This is the year I first met local homestead bloggers, started butchering larger animals, and Murrial came to live with us. It is also the year I discovered that you must get everything in writing. Even with family. And I attempt to get crafty.
We found two of them had froze to death on their roosts. The temperature the night we decided to bring them in was -17 F, and that was before the wind chill! We brought them in as a precaution. That's the only time we have ever done it.

Whose standing in the middle of the truck engine?
I love how you decorated your house with live chickens, lol
I would have done the same thing to prevent those babies from freezing to death.
Was this the year you had several new calves born?
Can't wait to see the photos for year 2010, 2011, and 2012.
I absolutely love the sportster tractor... Limited Editions are always so cool!
Sandy, that would be Medium. And yes, we had a bunch of calves that year.
Yart, so do I.
Great memories
