Looking Back 2006 (picture heavy)

I thought it would be fun (for me) to look back in time, see what has changed over the years. I have lived at the Neophyte Homestead for 11 years. And now we say goodbye to it, and start a new homestead. Not in the flatlands, but in a flat bottom of a holler.

I started this blog back in 2006, a few years after we started homesteading.

Let's look shall we?

Phelan,

I love looking back at pictures of accomplishments on your homestead. These are pictures you'll want to keep and reflect back on while creating your new homestead in Kentucky. The countdown begins now until you start your new homestead.
Are you totally packed ?

My favorite picture is the sweet potato one. Why? Because your fingernails are dirty, just like MINE always are when I take garden pictures.

Poor soil Kymber. With sweet potatoes you need to look around and find that spot where grass struggles to grow. That is the perfect area for sweet potatoes.

Sandy, I figured some day my boys will be going through this, showing them Kansas will be a thrill.

Donna, :) I think my nails are only clean before cooking and after a shower. Other than that .. .
