I almost titled this post "the sexiness that is me"

You got lucky I decided to call it "Knee Update".

Giggling. Yes I have had enough coffee. However I did something this morning that I haven't been able to do it ten months.

This.

That has been my goal from the get go. To be able to sit in a. . . Um. . . Whatever the PC term for it is.

Don't care how unattractive scarred and slightly atrophied legs are. My scar has faded a bit. The suture scars are bright white in direct sunlight. I have been thinking about a tattoo, not to hide it, but to enhance it. Husband's suggestion is at teddy bear with a knife at the bottom of the scar. Teddy bears aren't me. He chuckles thinking about it though.

I have been walking without a cane for a few months now. And while at home I have been at it with no brace. Strength is coming back, so is flexibility. Not as fast as I would like. But coming along none the less.

And no, I am not afraid of being on motorcycles. It was intimidating at first, and didn't enjoy it as much because I was over thinking it. But now, now I jones for it.  Some days I will be in town in my truck, motorcycles pulling up next to me, and I pine to be riding. I am back to me again. And it feels great!  Albeit a bit stiff in the mornings, and tender by bed time.

Congrats! FYI: I found out when I was involuntarily transferred from teaching high school to teaching elementary school that they call that position criss-cross applesauce.

Now. Go back to your first post with the first photos of you after the wreck.... and take all the time you need to unleash the dam and just feel all that happy! You've made it! Proud of you, Girlie!

Just in time for your move!!!

This is wonderful news, I'm happy you're able to cross your legs and sit like this. Just don't over do it.

We called it "cross-legged." That is a good looking scar, not because of how it looks but because it helped keep your leg for you.

My son wanted a dirt bike when he was a teenager. My wife was adamantly opposed. But I was afraid she was being over protective. So he and I went and bought a dirt bike and all the protective gear and paraphernalia. Went out on the off road trails in the national forest. Within a week he crashed into a tree and wound up in the emergency room. Took him a while to get over the wreck but he went right back to it. I always felt like having him riding dirt bikes kept him away from street bikes, which are real widow makers here in these mountains. Hope you are fully recovered soon, things just happen and nobody gets through life unscathed.
