The drive home was uneventful. We missed all the storms that the weather channel had threaten to unleash on us. We arrived around 230 am, Kansas time. Wasn't happy about what I found here, but that's not important right now.
Now we plot and pack. We all want to get back ASAP.
The cabin wasn't suppose to be ours. It was a last minute, price suddenly reduced, purchase. It ties the rest of the land together nicely. We didn't know what we would live in before this land was offered to us. We got lucky.
Ok, now is the time to ask those burning questions about all of it. I have the lazies today, catching up on rest, and will be able to answer you. That is after I run into town and pick up some coffee. We seem to be out here.
All in all, I think the new place is a great bargain! I love the cabin, the creek, and especially all the trees!
Looking forward to the many good stories coming from the new place!
Glad you made it home safe. Your out driving without coffee!!??!!???!?! Glad your in KS!
Can't wait to hear more of the plans. Slurp that coffee down and start writing!
We had plenty of coffee durning the drive, it was upon waking in Kansas that we discovered there was none in the house! Ack!
Jim, it's an incredible deal! Only costing us $90 more a month than our barren 5 acres does. We now own 58 acres in KY. Happy dance!
Ahhh Phelan...you will have to let me know where you are exactly! We're headed South ourselves; back home to the land of the Bluegrass (which hilariously Tanker is allergic to when it blooms).
We're headed down later this month to take a look at a few properties and make our final decision. I only wish that one was similar to the deal you found!
I'm am so very happy for you and your family. Wow, talk about a great deal on the property and cabin.
