I mailed, by certified letter, the deposit on the property in the Appalachians. Did I mention that it is 32 acres?
Things are ramping up here. Not just the winter shut down, but going through 11 years of accumulated junk. It was important when we got it, but there is no way we can move it all with us.
We have been making so many sacrifices for this. Sometimes we have a short freak out, but other than that. . .
I would like you to go meet my future neighbor. Small Farm Girl. She will be sure to tattle on my clumsiness. Even if this land is virgin, I am sure to find a way to electrocute myself.
I am looking forward to having her as a neighbor.
Below is the first photo I saw of the property, thanks to SFG. How could you not fall in love with that view!
Yes, I am excited. (I will try to talk about something else soon. Promise)

Beautiful picture, I'm excited for you and your family.
Oh, no worries keep talking about your new adventure and share pictures with us.
You should see it now! It's grey and muddy. But, at least it still has a small bit of green. LOL
Sandy, all I can say is, smiling?
SFG, don't care, don't care. Muddy? Wait what is this mud thing you speak of? I remember being covered in it once, long long ago, but the memory has faded.
Whoo hoo! BEEE-utiful!
And lucky to have SFG there :)
(Sobs a bit because none of her blogging buddies live close to her)
and so you should keep talking about it...it's exciting!
The beginning of a new adventure! I know things will go better from now on!
Continued good luck, my friend!
Oh, please keep talking about the property and sharing pics. I love hearing about and seeing it.
Carolyn, I'm like you, all my online friends live far away from me too. A couple of them are in the middle, but for the most part, the rest all live at the opposite end of the country.
Have a great day, Phelan
~hugs~
Fel.
It is truly beautiful, and I am enjoying hearing about your new adventures!
I am sooo excited for you all. Don't stop talking about it, we want to hear more.
Breathtaking view! Love the colors! I'm like you, mud what's mud? Dry and hot here in central Texas. 83 yesterday. Keep on talking, sister! We can feel your excitement!
I'm officially living vicariously through you, now, until I find my patch of ground. ;) I don't care a bit if that's all you talk about. :)
Are there no structures at all? Where are you going to live while you build a structure?
Carol Anne, there's a cave. :) you will just have to stay tuned to see what happens. Giggle.
I am looking forward to hearing more about your New Journey, I am very Happy for you and your Family
Nice! Can't wait to see the adventure unfold!
I think I just fell in love with that pic too. Keep posting pics like that and I may have to invite myself to visit. I live in the armpit of Texas and long for the wide open skys of home in West Texas. A view like that could get me though some long days. Im so happy for you guys. You all deserve this.
