9am Thursday morning (central time), I will be having surgery

First let's get this sorry biz put of the way.

Hospital meds and this guy make an odd combo

Ok, done? Good. Thank you for all your wonderful words, the kind thoughts, words, prayers and vibes.

They were late my meds tonight, by three hours.

I am allowed to use a walker to get to the restroom. However I must of had he was spotted with denise. I left that last line to explain to you how stoned I am. Ok, nurse left me in the bathroom until my legs went to sleep. I had to come out all by myself.

I have more stories, but percocets are finally working. I am scared. This is going to be a very long night. As soon as I am able to be coherent again, I will post about it. Until then. . .

Fwd:

Ugh. No more posting while on meds. Promise me.

Fwd:

I have four different ligaments that have detached from my knee, taking shards of bone with it. They are going to reattach the ligaments, then see what needs to be done from there.

We now know what happened in the wreck. The pivot shaft on the rear frame broke, and we had no control over the bike. It took us on a very short ride.

I remember clearly, seeing my leg shaped as the letter S. reaching for Husband's glasses, and Husband holding me, making sure I was ok. I have always felt safe in his arms. And even this wreck, didn't cause me to feel any less.

I do hope that most of this makes sense. I will try to return after the surgery tomorrow.

Nothing to worry about Phelan, you're in good hands, I'm sure they all know what they're doing. I wish you well with everything anyway. Glad to see things were'nt worse than they are. Could have been alot worse.

Phelan,

Damn girl!!!! You are very lucky.
I've read several of your posts through Mohave Rat and enjoyed them. I figured, I would stop in and comment and that's when I learned you we're injured in an accident.
I will pray for you and your husband in hopes for a speedy recovery. Take the medication even if it makes you loopy, it will help with the pain. Remember your blogger friends understand that right now you need to recover. You'll be back typing soon enough. Take care!

Prayers ongoing. I can only imagine what each of you is going through on your own terms in various ways. Accidents happen. I am glad you still have a place of safety and surety.

Hugs to you- softly of course. Hope all went well and that you are quickly on the mend!

All will be well...lots of rest and physical therapy. You are one very lucky gal!(and husband). My arm was crushed in a motorcycle accident 5 years ago...said I would lose most of the use...fooled them! 58 years old, buck hay, stack cases of #10 cans and braid my own hair! You'll do fine...you have that kind of spirit and spunk!

Best wishes for a full recovery. Glad your hubby is so attentive as well he should be. Bikes can be replaced but there is only one you!!

Sending healing prayers.

Saying I'm sorry kind of seems a bit lame....though I am very sorry for you. As a fellow rider, I've taken a few spills but never one that left me in as much pain as I'm sure you're in. Hang tough, heal fast and know that we're thinking of you and sending whatever positive energy we can. Keep us updated when you can and concentrate on healing.
