Want to see me angry?

Stick a CNN reporter in my face asking asinine questions and interrupting me when I have a point to make.

I have been watching the coverage of the TEA parties, and I must say that yes, there are some anti- Obama people out there, but CNN seems to be "every one is stupid but us." I am sorry but I can not trust a news agency that has to bash another news agency on every other story. I am tired of their opinions. Not just CNN but others as well. I want the news, factual news when I turn on a news network. I don't want every single reporter to go running off at the mouth.

I Am an independent. I have almost always voted democratic. (except this last round, which I voted 3rd party) Do not lump all of us that are angry and tired of being shoved around by a government that is suppose to be working for us, as anti American, as ignorant, as terrorists.

I use to watch CNN. But the more they find a way to blame everyone except the person that is truly at fault, the less I watch, and today, today I find myself over them. They need to be actual reporters and stop pushing their beliefs. I don't push, I don't shove.

Apparently if you disagree with the government, homeland security calls you a potential terrorist. If you disagree with the government then the media calls you anti-government, paranoid, backwoods hick. Why can't I just be tired of being bullied? Why can't I be considered an American?

There ya go. I have called myself out. I disagree with a lot of the things that the government is doing! I wanted Ron Paul for President. I am not a vet, but was raised by one. I will write to you all from my jail cell.

Yes, this is me angry. At the time I write this, I still have the right to free speech, and have not physically threatened any one.

Rant over.

You go, girl! I don't agree with you on everything, but you have a right to say it, so long as saying is all the harm you are doing.

I agree with you on the whole she-bang. My employer would not give me the day off to go to a tea party so I dressed in red/white/blue and have had my own tea party in the office!

Thank you Jessica. If every one agreed with each other, we would be very bored. I watch certain programs because they are "talk" shows, like oh my! Glen Beck. And oh my! NPR. But when I turn on a news program, (even on NPR at times) I expect to see news, not an editorial about an AP story or a journalist finding the most incompetent person in a group and verbally attacking them.

This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can excercise their constitutional right of amending it, or excercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it. ~ Abraham Lincoln, 1862.
I hope I get a cell next to yours!

I've been noticing that a lot, too...since when did voicing an opinion, especially one perceived as different than the "ruling party" make me suspect...or worse?? I'm an independent, too.

Another thing that seems to piggyback with CNN and other news agencies' vilification of supposed critics of theirs seems to be if we don't continue to consume, consume, consume then we're being upatriotic, irresponsible, backwards, and going against the recovery of the economy. HELLO, what do we think got us where we are in all this mess, anyway?? A five year old can reason better than that on a bad day!

Oh, and dont EVEN get me started on the whole subject being labeled "protectionism".......what the flippin HECK

ARGGGHHH

And just for the record, I am not anti-obama. I blame the House and Congress for this mess. And I was angry about the excessive spending of the Bush admin. It was just that I was with the mass media in that opinion and wasn't called ridiculous names.

I wrote a calm commentary on the tea parties, if you wish to read that it is on the Kansas Preppers Network.

Annette, I look forward to your company.

THIS is part of the reason I don't watch the news anymore. I am so tired of the opinions, I want facts, I don't care about any of the reporters or news anchors opinions. It just keeps getting worse and worse.

Throw me in the slammer, too! I seethe inside every time I hear about something new and impossibly more assinine than the last thing that the government is doing. I totally feel like a volcano, sometimes. It really infuriates me!

There were not teaparties near me, but I was cheering them on.

I'm also an independent third party voter and don't have TV so I don't have to be bothered with their ridiculous "news."

Hey Phelan...I'm afraid many of us are on the list somewhere after the latest government description of "possible terrorist threats" and " domestic instigators". Free speech is all but gone, along with free thinking and open discussions about the issues.

I guess we are getting a look at our new future!

I completely agree you are free to speak your mind and vote for who you like without reprecussions, but if it upsets you this much to watch news I would simply change the channel or turn it off. That is another right we have, eh?

Take it easy and have a good day :)

Suppose I'll be joining you in the "Patriot's Wing"... Hey, at least I'll be in good company!

It's a sad day in America when reasoned, measured dissent = a threat. This country was founded on dissent and most of our founding fathers would have been considered "right wing extremists", according to the DHS. Honestly I think term limits would go a long way towards solving some of these issues. But don't get me started... ;-)

Oh I turned the tv off, and then went out and played with my cows.

Where are they going to put us all? Maybe they'll have to let out some of the hard core criminals to make room for all us anti-American terrorist types. It's going to be a very full jail. Hope I get on a cell block with all of you. And don't get me started on the food safety issue. Oh, now I'm upset just thinking about it - where's my chocolate?! -Sandy

Jess I completely agree...just think of the damage that could've been averted if - we would've only had 12 years of damage as opposed to 20 in the past 28 years.

That would've been sweet. And our economy wouldn't be in the toilet.

I am very ashamed by the hatred, bigotry, and racism spewed at the "Tea Party" in Anchorage. For shame...media products one and all. And I had always thought that Alaskans were a bit more open-minded and tolerant in their take on things (that does not include our elected officials...a breed unto themselves...who, for good reason, we house in Juneau - a city with no roads to it). I came up here over thirty years ago to get away from such beastial and asinine behavior. Where can I turn to now? We are as tainted as anywhere. It's a sad day. The "Tea Parties" simply brought the vile together.

My husband and sons went to a tea party. There were a few antiObama people but most of the crowd simply wanted the government to be accountable for its actions and overall fairness.
