t'was a long weekend

I am grateful that our friends do not get married very often. The couple that got married in Sparks America decided to have a wedding reception for those that couldn't make it to the wedding. Of course we were invited. We headed into the city on Saturday night, ended up going to 3 different bike bars, each smaller than the last, until we ended up at the tiniest building possible with an incredible blues band and the bride's mother getting into a fist fight. Then grocery shopping at 230 in the morning, breakfast at 500am, my husband and I trying to crash on a twin size bed, then making are way home at 930 am. I am still paying for it. If you are interested in yet another aspect to my life, go check out what The Fool has posted.

The meteorologist say, rain rain is going away. yet at 6am this morning it was raining. My tomatoes are not thrilled about all of this water. If they could get a couple days of dry and sun, I will be dealing with more ripe tomatoes than I can handle alone. I have hired my 13 year old niece as a garden hand. She will be learning to care for a garden, help harvest and process items for canning. Hopefully she will catch on quickly and things will move smoothly along.

I found another bunch of grapes emerging on my vines.

And a hen came back! All I had left was my geese and a couple of roosters. The other day I saw one of my hens. I was thrilled, still am. Maybe another will follow suite. If someone does have them confined, I might have some hope on getting a few back. Yet I am not going to keep my hopes on it, maybe she was just in hiding.

LMFAO! Sounds like you had one helluva night! I'm 21 but I don't think I'd be able to survive that kinda partying *chuckle*

hey bug! Actually that was just a quick summary. We started at 7 pm, I was the only one carded {bartender was about to throw me at, saying that I didn't look old enough. It's nice to hear you look ten years younger than you are}I wasn't even the youngest one there. many stories will be told about our night out, but I will let those be told in their proper circles. :D

So I read about the biker bar night and then switch over to the fool and read your poem and I am speechless. You are no ordinary lass and I am ever impressed.

Lisa, yes, and so nice to be able to get away for a night. It will be years before that happens again.

Maggie, thank you ~insert big cheesy grin here~

H'lo Phelan. Thanks for the poems and the link. I will mark your entries with a "By Phelan" in the titles so they'll be easy to distinguish. I will post the other poem in a bit. Have a great weekend, Darth.
