So I have been quiet lately, well obviously not today. I have been writing this blog for six years, I have covered just about everything. New things will start happening here, however it looks like we just ran smack dab into a drought, and 105f plus temps for the foreseeable future.
Sigh
I decided to do this at the end of June, becuase normally it isn't as hot as it is at the end of July. I thought for once I could be comfortable doing the blogathon.
Hahahahaha!
Bleh, 105 degree temperatures aren't fun no matter what! I wondered why so early... Then again, I'm a bit of a traditionalist, oh wait... I'm definitely a major traditionalist!
ReplyDeletedude - get out there and do whatever needs doing....we all understand. and we will all fulfill our pledges whether you pass out after 2 hrs in the yard or not.
ReplyDeleteon behalf of all of your pledgers: you have our permission to do what needs done on the farm and crash!
your friend,
kymber
(p.s. - we don't care about 24hrs. we care that you care enough to do this for 10+hours. and for a charity that we believe in. crash if you need to honey. i mean it. i gotta leave soon for the dance....meh. i hope that you understand!
Kymber, first have fun at your dance. Second. I didn't say anything about crashing.
ReplyDeleteIn my neck of the woods, we've had 4 named tropical storms already this year and it's not even July yet. Our ground is saturated to the point that sink holes are popping up all over the area. If I had anything planted in the ground (rather than in pots) it would have been washed away weeks ago. I feel for your drought but the other side of the coin isn't any fun either.
