Giddy

I am doing a happy little snoopy dance. There is a good chance I will have a couple of books out before Christmas this year.

One is short stories, and the other is a kids cook book. No not self published. geeze you people are cynical.

I don't want to go into it too much, might just jinx myself and another Armageddon shall bestow itself on my head. Right SkippyMom? ~Giggle~ And just for the record, so no one gets confused, I was being playful, and giving Skippymom a shout-out. I enjoy reading her blog, I Make Soap. Even if I don't comment as much as I should.

Yep you too can be featured in a blog post if you reply almost daily and give me a what for when I might deserve it. I am in a very good mood so early in the morn. I have lots of things to be thankful for.

I was going through my photos yesterday, and that one on my sidebar of Large, it's the only one of him I could find on flikr that has him doing anything remotely farm/homestead related. Maybe there are some on my broke down pc. Husband said it was because Large didn't go outside much last summer, he was too busy turning into his mother. . . bookworm.

Husband and I listened to the James Talmage Stevens last night (Are You Prepared?) podcast here. Some friends of ours from APN and Pioneer Living were on. It was a good show, however when John (Pioneer living) said something remotely like what husband is wanting to do, he would start talking engineer speak again. I'm going to need to get John and husband together and hash it all out or something. I could barely hear the show at times. I finally told husband that he needs to sit there and look pretty.

I am in a experimentin' mood today. I wonder how much pain I can self inflict today all in the name of sci. . . homesteading. I have a few ideas, but I truly don't want it to hurt.

I get 1 non-homesteading proud moment a month

I am simply thrilled with myself. yes, yes I am. I am now writing Food Fiction for All Foods Natural. There is a taster up now, for any of you that want to read it, The Proposal.

So what is food fiction? It is short stories (in my case) or a novel that's story line involves food and recipes. This one is about campfire foods, written in traditional chick lit. I don't think my boss wants me writing about food in my lovable horror genre, so I will be sticking with the not so gory ones. I get to stretch a little, do more writing as I like to do, with vivid words.

Feeling a bit better

Thank you for all the love. I am no longer achy, still sick, but better.

The 3 inches of snow they were calling for never arrived. My husband did a lot more work in the barn as I slept it off. And the bannies have started laying again. I expect the goose to start soon as well.

I am swamp with articles and chores. I hope you guys have a great weekend, and hope those Dexters can be picked up.
