A wonderful visit

Longtime wife and her husband came out this weekend. It was wonderful meeting them. We had a great time, showing them around, and talking.

They also brought us a housewarming gift.

We will soon have walls!

Longtime wife told me to stop beating myself up over my bad decisions of this past year. And I am trying.  I huge part of me wants to go back to Kansas. Another part of me is spiteful, and hardheaded, and determined to make this work. Even though it has been the hardest time of my life. Even through the homelessness, I never felt the despair that I have felt now. But.  . . I have an awesome support system in place, people I trust, adore, and admire for what they have done in their lives.

I am only half Kentuckian and I grew up to be the Mohave Rat! Kentucky is the forge in which the human spirit is tempered into steel!
Where common sense and faith are everywhere and where strength comes from family and friends. You are becoming a Kentuckian! Be patient sweet girl.

Phelan,

How awesome you and Longtime Wife were able to meet. Now having walls is a great surprise. Hang in there sweetie.
Hugs to you, hubby, and the boys.

Phelan - longtime wife has proven that she is a real friend, both her and her husband have proved that. and many others around you have shown their true colours as well. i have found that if enough people care about you...the rest is a cake walk. i am not saying that everything is easy...but when you know that there are actual true and real people out there that care about you, nothing can stop you. i am proud to know that ltw and her husband did what they did...and i am proud to call them friends.

you know how i feel about you gurl. please don't get me started. your friend,
kymber

Keep your chin up and moving forward. I won't say it will be easy but sometimes hitting rock bottom is the best thing as you finally get something to push against to climb those "Walls".

Enola Gay had a timely write up yesterday about her "Homesteading Journey" she started 14 years ago.

It sounds kinda like your journey. Don't know if you follow her and if not, you should have a look.
