I wasn't able to sleep last night. Husband received some bad news, and we tossed and turned. I finally gave up trying to sleep. The moon was bright, filling the holler with enough light to walk by. I ended up in the garden. I toiled, breaking up soil and putting more seeds into the ground. The dogs stood sentry, protecting me from what ever may stumble out of the shadows.
Nothing did. And after some time, I was finally able to sleep. I am grateful that we have a clearing in the holler, and the moon to work by. I am use to it, and find comfort in it.
During the day husband and I went walking. That's tomorrow's story. But for now, here is the wildlife we stumbled upon.

That bottom photo is really, really nice. Took me a while to see the critter though. :)
I'm sorry about the bad news. I hope it's something that can be overcome.
I am so sorry about the bad news. What wildlife is in the last picture? Often, I wish I could garden at night. Of course, I am wanting to sow seeds on the table, and there is not enough light. Besides, it would freak out my neighbors and disturb their sleep. Maybe you will sleep better tonight.
Corn snake in the water.
The bad news isn't devastating, just worrisome for us. We will get it worked out. Thank you guys.
Sorry about the news P. Hope all works out well.
Watch that top photo critter...they sure do love tomatoes!
There used to be lots of turtles here, but I haven't seen one in a long time now.
Phelan,
Sending you prayers and hugs, this problem will get resolved.
I love turtles, not so snakes though.
What type of seeds have you planted?
