Been a bit busy, lots of things a happenin'.
First I am free style walking. I still have my brace on, but can walk through the house with out walker or crutches. Though I use them in public. I am now able to push a shopping cart. You should have seen the Cheshire grin on my face and the public announcements of, "I haven't done this is four months!"
My flexibility has become stagnant though. I am able to bend my knee 90 degrees. The rope no longer helps, so Husband has been pushing on my. Needless to say, I scream.
We are still packing and gathering, cleaning and plotting for the move. It's getting closer.
And in my attempt to get a publisher to take me seriously, I have started a Facebook page called "Chickens Ate My Zombies" . Yes, that is the name of the book. So if you feel so inclined, follow along in yet another misadventure of mine.

Phelan,
I'm happy to hear you're walking around your house without the assistance of a walker. Give it time and you'll be able to bend more than the 90 %.
Have a great evening and don't work to hard with the packing.
Good that you are getting around a bit! Nothing keeps a good gal down for long, right?
I'm pleased to hear that plans are moving right along. Good luck on the continued mend, my friend!
Good to hear that you're kinda sorta back on two feet and are writing again. I've missed you.
Pump up on your Magnesium. Make sure you've put heat of some sort ( heating pad, shower, etc.. ) for about 15-20 minutes before you begin stretches. Sit in a chair. Wrap a pint of canned food in a netting sack that had oranges or potatoes, etc... or, wrap corners of a kitchen towel around your ankle, with the can snuggled inside the towel. Lift the can until your leg is straight in front of you, and straight back down. Do 2 sets of as many as you can handle. Then, work your way up. Start with a pint. See if you can work your way to 2 sets of 20. Once you can do that... change up. Lift your leg and HOLD it straight out to the count of 5. Reach 2 sets of 20, then stretch the hold to 8, then 10. Just remember to heat before stretching!
Glad to hear you are on the move (mostly) again.
I love the title. I went and liked it on Facebook. :)
good to hear the progress report sweet girl. glad to hear how good you are doing! keep up the good work but don't overdue! the rat
I am so glad to hear that you are healing and able to walk a bit without assistance. It's a slow road, but you will get there!!!
Walking!!! That is huge!!! You have come such a long way! I know you still have a very long way to go, but you are getting there, and you will do it!!
We are getting ready to move, too, it looks like. Not homesteading, just moving to be closer to our children.
Glad to hear your healing continues and preparations for the move are progressing nicely.
I have to concur with WeldrBrat's advice. I'd forgotten this but when I was having therapy on my shoulder I'd do some of my stretching exercises while in the shower so the warm water would help to loosen my muscles.
No rose without a thorn
Hi Phelan,
I too concur with WeldrBrat about the heat (and those exercises sound about right). It will help your muscles stretch better, and without quite so much pain....
So nice to hear from you! Rooting for you waaay over here on the West Coast. :) :)

Glad to hear of your progress. I still bring walking aids when I'm on unfamiliar ground. That exercise advise sounds primo.
