A New Year has begun.

And I don't know what to tell you.

Usually this is the day I run down a list of things that you can expect from the Neophyte Homestead. But soon the Kansas homestead will be no more. And I have no idea what to expect from the new land.

However allow me to give it a go

Packing
Moving
Exploring
Perhaps a couple of Lavern and Shirley episodes acted out with my new neighbor
Cord wood experiments
Underground shelter experiments
House plans
New laws
Walking on my own again.
Pictures

So there you have it. A New Year, a New Homestead in a New State. It should be interesting.

Hope 2013 treats us all well.

Happy New Year! So...which one of you would be Shirley, and which one would be Laverne? Does it depend on which husband resembles Lenny the most?

Pamela, if husbands catch us in the act, there might be a few videos out there. Lol! Thank you.

Ms. Burrows, thank you!

Thank you Carol Anne.

SFG, oh no. . . Lol! Yes it will be fun!

Catherine, I am Laverne, sigh ;)

Kat, yes they are. I look forward to hearing about them as well. Sometimes adventures aren't so grand when they are happening, but a blast in retrospect. Lol!

Happy New Year's!

Phelan,

2013 will be amazing for you and your family. Be careful moving every body, the animals and your stuff to this location. Have you figured out where you would live while making your home? Happy New Year To You and Yours.

Miz deb, me too!

Sandy, will do. We haven't told Small Farm girl yet, but we are moving in with her! Lol. Naw, we are looking into a mobile home to drop down in the hollar while planning and building the new house. Hopefully only one more year in a mobile. . . One more year.

I am envious of the adventure 2013 offers for you... It will be lots of work and tests of your endurance, but I know you will succeed.

Thank you West Tex and Ruth!

I am so completely happy for you Phelan! I have been gone awhile...seems that a lot has happened with my homesteading hero! We, too, have decided to move from our small homestead and are excited to find a new place to call our own...it is a daunting process! I sorely wish I could bring my semi truck to your house and load you up all in one swoop and help with the moving! I remember when I first found you back in 2008...you have been my source of knowledge and inspiration ever since...Happy Trails Miss! Can't wait to see your new adventures!

Happy New Year Phelan! I hope your new year on your new homestead is just as wonderful as it sounds, even with all the work involved.
