I think I could benefit from a night maid

Around 5am this morning I came to the conclusion that a night maid would be practical for me. It would be great to have some one that stays up all night, feeding the fire, removing a rooster that has taken up resident under the piano bench, and to shut the front door after the Staffy learns how to open it and let all the animals in the house at 3 in the morning.

So innocent

(can you say indoor petting zoo?)

oh he looks so smart in his handsome sweater...and innocent too!

i also could use a nightmaid...to cook, clean, feed the cats, iron, make soap and cheese...ya know - the usual!

i wouldn't even mind if she vacuumed at night...wouldn't bother me at all to know that the carpets were getting cleaned all while i was rolling over in my bed.

sheesh Phelan...stop putting dancing nightmaids in my head!!!

your friend,
kymber

She wears the sweater because at 45F her teeth starts to chatter. I think she might freeze to death :D

Sorry, didn't mean to give you nightmaids.

The mental images from this story are just making me laugh. I can picture the critters outside egging on the dog. And then the dog lets them in and they have a little party in the kitchen.

Oh it was a party. I had fallen asleep on the couch, cats dumped the platter of soap flakes the boys had been working on, on me. I discovered that I have a rooster that actually crows "cock-a-doodle-do" usually it is "ar-ar-arrrr-ar-ar". But this one is very articulate. All the while the dogs slept on the children.

well, now the animals have an operative on the inside

hmmm, maybe I should interrogate the Staffy and find out who else is working for them.

Awww, he was just being kind to his fellow creatures, and letting them in out of the cold! I'm sure they appreciated it!

Thanks for your suggestion about my blog. How do I make my header a banner?

She only needed a donkey and a cat to reenact the "Musicians of Bremen" story.

Man, what a relief to realize you aren't the only one facing rooster under the bench-type dilemmas! Sign me up for the night maid, hopefully they'll also take car of the chicken crap situation on my side porch - that would be awesome! Love the sweater!!

Odysseus, luckily I don't have a giant with a club, however if the cows had been in the yard. . .

Jenn, chicken poop on my back porch, someone will end up breaking their necks.

Your Staffy is adorable ...especially in that sweater!
I am fortunate none of my canines have learned to open the door! However, the fellas dog has locked me out a few times!

I'm trying My Banner Maker. I tried "Post Automically with Gigya" and it failed. I made sure my username and password were correct, and it still failed.

Then I got the html code, but I don't know what to do with it. I'm afraid to change anything.

I'm sorry to keep bothering you. You're probably wishing you hadn't made a suggestion.

Lamb, Locked out? see now I am picturing you in a bathrobe, with newspaper in hand, pounding on the door yelling at the pooch. Ok, so I need more coffee.

Fancy, try right clicking on the banner after you have made it, and save as. Then go to your blog and click on design. At the top your blog name will show up in a box, click on the edit. Change picture and save.

Sorry to keep pestering you. Maybe I should give up. Look at it now, it's still over on the left side.

Phelan said...

ok fancy, lets try this. Click on design, then click on template designer. Next click adjust widths. Slide the line to the left until your pic looks centered. Next adjust the left or right side bars to be a bit smaller to help make your posts a more normal size. Click apply to blog when you are happy with it.

Thank you, Phelan, but that didn't work either. It was a huge white space, with the picture still small and on the left side. Blogger's changed something in the last few weeks; I never used to have this problem. I just removed the picture altogether.

I really appreciate your help. I'm sorry that you took so much time and trouble, and it still didn't work.
