Bob's your unripe tomatoes

The frost that I mentioned was coming. . . even with the precaution of covering the plants, was still a killing frost.

I pulled all the tomatoes off the plants last night before yet another frost hits tonight.

yes, there are a lot more of them than seen here. I have a counter full for ripening, however I have several more buckets full as well. So I hope you are ready for recipes.

The next couple of days I will share the unripe tomato recipe experience with you all.

For those finding this through a browser search, the recipes for unripe (green) tomatoes can be found by clicking on the links below.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with all those green tomatoes. Our first frost is looking very likely tomorrow night and I have a bunch that I also want use.

Around the first of August when the hot, dry conditions started to kill my tomato plants, plus the squirrels were picking them faster than I could, I picked all of mine. I spread them out like your picture and everyone of them ripened and they were still much much better than store bought. Oh, after trapping and relocating about 25 tree rats, that problem went away.

John, already have three pots going on the stove. I guess I am in the mood for some experimental cooking today.

Bob, did you take care of them with a side of buffalo wing sauce? My great uncle swears by it to get rid of those tree rats.

I just have too many tomatoes to set out to ripen.
