The cool weather helps a bit in the optimistic thinking department. We are 30 degrees cooler than we were a week ago, however still no rain.
Things have been steady here, nothing new to report.
I have been working very hard to get this business up and running. But looks like spring will be the soonest I can actually accomplish this. I am running into the slight problem that I am a ghost. I have spent my entire life paying cash for things. Not making major purchases unless I have the cash to cover it. The house is the only exception, but come to find out that I am not on the note. I am only signed on in case Husband dies. My partner has almost perfect credit, so I am hoping that a small local bank will be willing to give us a chance.
I have also been looking at crowd funding to help build a bit of start up capitol, and maybe build some credit in the business before we are even open. The bank might be more willing to help us out. We already have most of the equipment needed, but there are a few thing we are lacking and need the funding for. It's not like I am asking for $100,000 to start. (I will be asking for far less) Our business looks viable, I did all the research, let's hope I can convince others.
Hopefully this weekend we will be able to start butchering lambs. I am looking forward to working with the pelts. I have heard some great things about this breed's skin. The boys however are looking forward to rabbit butchering. Medium really wants to make mittens and a hat. That means I should really sit down and try to remember my 6th grade home ecc class. With the boys interested in sewing, Large wants to make moccasins out of cow hide, I really need to take a class or attempt to teach myself how to sew. Honestly, with having all boys I didn't think I would really need to know this skill. How wrong I was. I can stitch things, but not pattern make or actually makes sure that my stitches will survive a bit of rough and tumble.
Well, it's time to get the youngest two off to school. Hope all is well with you.

Did I miss a post in which you discussed this new business you want to start? If not, please share - when you're ready to share. And best wishes to you!!!
I have mentioned it in passing, but have yet to go into any details yet. I will let everyone know the details soon. Besides you will all be invited to the grand opening :D
Check into the SBA - Small Business Administration. Yours is exactly the type of business they fund.
Unless of course you don't want to deal with the government. I get that.
Good luck with the loan. It's cool your boys are interesting in being crafty. Hope you'll post pics of the results
lol. No I am ok with that. I did check with the SBA. They only match funds and guarantee payback to the banks. So I have to deal with investors either way. Trying to talk with a counselor has been a massive issues with me being a ghost. They won't see you without a credit score, and when I asked if they would accept my partners, I got silence.
