This Dog learned a new trick

Just got back from learning how to make soap.

How amazingly simple it is! And how utterly stupid I feel for not trying to go about it myself. However, if I have the opportunity to learn something from some one in the know, then I will jump at the chance.

I made goat milk soap. I will have photos Tuesday, when I get my batch of soap.

Incerdibly easy and fun, eh? I miss making it so much - but I can't stand that long anymore :(

Did you add any scent or color? My fav is sandlewood - but a lot of people like lavendar.

Sounds like a very good thing to know...and I'm glad you had a chance to learn from a pro!

Can't wait to see the pictures!

good stuff! learning to make soap is still on my 'to do' list.... i'm focusing on my culinary arts for now (learning to preserve and make from scratch just about everything)

i am looking foreward to seeing how it turns out!

How funny , we just a month or so back learned as well. I had a fear of the Lye, but once I saw how easy it is I felt silly for not trying it myself as well.

I'm collecting needed items( garage sales and thrift shops) and all we need now is a scale for weighing the ingredience.

Isn't it so fun! I loved making it and I can't wait to do it again. I really want to try glycerin soaps next time because I prefer them. Can't wait to see some pics!
