We had a rather bad day yesterday. husband was in a bad mood for the boys had lost some of his tools. He is rather tired of spending so much time looking for his tools.
We left for the farm. At one point husband asked me a question, and answered back, being abrasive and loud. He asked why I was getting defensive. And I replied, I thought we were bickering. I was just doing my part. That got him to smile.
We spent the entire time on fencing. We are now out of fencing and out of money and still not complete. ~sigh~ Husband fell a few times, we forgot to bring the come-a-long, and yeah, I don't really want to talk about it.
However Husband almost stepped on Bambi.
And Small found a Faline as he went to retrieve some tools.
That made everyone's day. And smiles and giggles abound.

I guess that all's well that ends well, right?
Beautifuk little fawn!
Tooo cute. Gets a big "AWWWWW" But you have to wonder where mom's at and if it's ok. Had some friends who raised one they found like that. Was like their pet, totally tame
Deer tend to "park" their fawns and go out foraging, for the first two weeks of their lives. These 2 babies were ust fine. Simply waiting for their mothers return.
Amazing pictures. Your blog is great. Keep it up!
Something so domesticated and cute-cuddly as our three outdoor 'feral' kitties at play can evoke mood-changing magic even unto my hardened brain. I dislike misplacing my own tools as well-- and understand the frustration when, more so, it ain't my fault.
But... smiles often help not only the frustration, but the tool-locating devices...
Slainte!
OK that's seriously beautiful :)
Great photos! Glad the day turned around for you
I am glad you responded Phelan - that was my first thought when I saw the pics' - oh, Momma has hidden them while she goes and eats - so yeppers they are fine, Momma will come back. But they are simply gorgeous - beautiful pics' what a fun find on the farm.
Glad the day turned around for y'all [I really like the "just doing my part!" :D]
