Do you sell or need wool?

Ok my homesteading friends and lovers, I would love to know who sells raw wool, untreated roving. If you could, please leave a link to your website or blog page and let me know what State you are in

Those of you that are looking for wool, check in and see who has left a link.

Thanks guys!

I have quite a few tadpoles on my blog roll that sell/buy wool. [Knitting Nurse, Gizmo, Antiquity Oaks] Some are sheep, some are alpaca, etc.

May I ask why you are asking this? Are you thinking of starting up a business? Knitting your own? Just doing a poll for the census? heehee

Not being nosy, but you have me wondering.

Icelandic fleeces will be available from us in spring - hand shorn, no chemicals, naturally raised. :)

There's also a couple of non-Icelandic fleeces about, usually ... I've got a whole Hampshire one in the fibre room at the moment.

www.applejackcreek.com for info - we are in Alberta, Canada.

we sell wool from our Jacob sheep. This year we should have 7 fleeces available. We generally shear mid March to early April. Check our farm site for more info www.mizrahimanor.com

The reason I am asking is because I frequently get emails asking if I sell any of my wool. I thought it would be great to advertise for soe of my readers, and give me a good place to refer the emailers to.

Hey this is a neat idea. We are going to be selling our wool this year. We raise Navajo Churro Sheep.

When I've unburied my wheel, I'll be in the market for fleeces, but I'm in the wrong country :(

blushing APN, Thank you.

Jennifer, I will put you down.

Skippymom, that would be great.

Killi, I have readers all over the word, I should have said State/Country. Let me know when you are ready and I will put you on the list.

"Our sheep are shorn the old-fashioned way, with a pair of human-powered hand shears, resulting in a sheep that looks like it was attacked by a weed whacker and an easily-skirted pile of fleece with very few second cuts."

This off your website was cracking me up! I love honest people.

I have 6 suffolk ewes that will need to be sheared this April or May. I have shears to do it but it kills my back to do it. I put an ad in the local paper free wool if you shear sheep. Noone has taken me up on the offer yet so I do it my self and give the wool to my sister-in-law who gives it to her mother. That being said if you want to shear my sheep you can have the wool. I live in Northeast Missouri. www.kjkfarm.webs.com
