I leave here shortly for the food tasting. I have been baking for the last 3 days, hopefully I have enough. The food tasting is in College Hill, an area inside of the Wichita, Kansas, city limits. The home owner says she has been advertising this thing all over the place. Kind of scary, I don't like people that much. Ah well, it's good PR, right?
Things should get back to what is deemed normal around here Monday. Until then, have some cookies.

Taking requests
Since I was just talking turkey, and my most popular post right now is how to butcher your turkey, I thought we could do some Thanksgiving recipes over the next few days. If you have something you would like for me to post a recipe for, please let me know.
Here is some sweet potato biscuits. If not a vegan,, replace soy milk with regular milk, and sunflower margarine with butter.

Great Depression Photos
Many have questioned my choice in mastheads. There seems to be some mourning of the loss of the goat shearing pic. I could put it back if everyone wants that. No big deal. But this photo is of my mother's side of the family, right before the Great Depression. There is only 8 kids in the photo, there was a total of 11 kids.

This is my grandmother during the Great Depression

And here are 4 of her sisters.
