A New Year

Here we are, 2007. It's too early for me to reflect on the year past, but not so early for me to dream of the future.

Today will mark the beginning of fresh mistakes, new journeys, and untried adventures. This can be a stressful and scary process, but we are determined to make the best of what is thrown our way.

The Homestead will see dramatic changes this year, beginning with a new home and possibly ending with a new type of livestock. But there are so many possibilities along the way that I am unable to make you a list of things to come.

I can however guarantee that mistakes will be made, lessons will be learned, and I will dutifully write them down so that you {if you choose a similar path} can avoid them, or laugh with me.

Previous experiences will be remembered and hopefully old mistakes avoided, I will just find new ones to commit.

And today, the first day of 2007, is the official day that Mother Hen and her chick leave the fish tank in the living room, and find a spot outside with the clucking community.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
