It's all good

Thank you for the concern and well wishes. The water has gone down, however we are looking at 3 more days of rain.

Everyone made it through wet but alive. I have been sloshing around in the new lake in our field making sure of it.

We have preps for this sort of thing. Plans and supplies. Our roads got washed out as well, even if the county had came out to make are drainage ditches deeper and put in new culverts. I think I might want my money back for that.

We are able to get out, husband left for work. I have some stories to write and will try to keep everyone updated on goings on.

Flooding

We got about 4 inches of rain today. The homestead is flooded, almost to the house. The driveway and the house are dry. However the barn and fields are flooded out. My poor cows are wondering around on what dry patch of land they can find. And I think Urth's Umbra is in labor.

I found the black belly Barbados under the truck topper. The turkeys are on top of the chicken coop, chicken in the coop. Except for the little ones. They have a ground pen, and I just ran out to save them from the raising water. They are safe and warm in the living room.

It is still raining. They say it will continue through the night. Let's hope the water doesn't get any higher.
