And if I had the chance to eat squirrel today, I would definately try it!! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28663723.post-31384362442467421102007-07-29T05:46:00.000-05:002007-07-29T05:46:00.000-05:00Farm Mom, you missed out. Personally, I like the stronger flavor that comes from letting animals eat a natural diet. And game animals are particularly good.

Venison? Yum.

And squirrels aren't always cute and fuzzy. Those suckers can be downright mean.

Particularly when you are trying to shoot them. ;-0Buckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09885809053657026847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28663723.post-6290730579048864072007-07-29T05:33:00.001-05:002007-07-29T05:33:00.001-05:00I'm country enough that squirrel was actually on t...I'm country enough that squirrel was actually on the menu at my house growing up. My dad, uncles, cousins and brother would go squirrel hunting and bring home their prizes. Mom never touched them, so dad had to cook them. I never ate them cause I was a teen at the time and was not into eating cute and fuzzy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28663723.post-58034585535033570462007-07-29T05:33:00.000-05:002007-07-29T05:33:00.000-05:00Squirrel!I love squirrel. Brown quickly in a little grease in an ovenproof skillet. Cover with cornbread dressing. Bake. The squirrel adds a nice gamey flavor to the dressing, and the moisture from the dressing keeps the squirrel meat moist and tender. (Squirrel meat can be a little dry and tough.)Buckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09885809053657026847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28663723.post-18706298544188830142007-07-29T05:29:00.000-05:002007-07-29T05:29:00.000-05:00nutty photoshopper ;)nutty photoshopper ;)Marinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17903972911012447585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28663723.post-61999798011417563122007-07-29T05:24:00.000-05:002007-07-29T05:24:00.000-05:00Those CAN'T be real...whimzykat, who still can't f...Those CAN'T be real...

whimzykat,
who still can't figure out the ID thingy...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
