Personally, I don't believe half of what the FDA tells me, as they have close ties with the largest food producers in the nation.

The problem is that while some things are easy to disprove (floating eggs) others have scientists and doctors on both sides of an issue (animal fats, HF corn syrup, etc) which makes it doubly difficult to figure out who to listen to.Joe Helmshttp://www.cordlessimpactdriverhq.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28663723.post-37752478909237835492013-01-07T00:03:19.292-06:002013-01-07T00:03:19.292-06:00Wait, what happened to prompt this post? Ignore the bs. I agree with Carolyn that a lot of folks get a thrill from hearing their own voices.

Take care,
parkerCoffeekittiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04102186875407666181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28663723.post-30463180475310045172013-01-04T08:31:33.814-06:002013-01-04T08:31:33.814-06:00I have been saying for many years to my family tha...I have been saying for many years to my family that nutrition is a BS "science". Every few years the rules change completely. One time they say that breads and grains are good for you, now they say they are toxic, then they say low carb diets are bad, then high carb diets are bad, then vegetarian diets are unhealthy, so basically, nothing is good for you. It's just plain crazy. I decided to try to grow as much of my own produce as possible in the tiny garden I have and read every single label to see what the country of origin is where the food comes from. I try to avoid anything from outside of the USA as much as possible because like WeldrBrat said, other countries don't have the safety standards we have here. and finally, we try to eat everything in moderation and try to stay away from processed foods as much as we can. It just seems like food shopping is getting harder and taking longer than it should.
kathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08602883597772387316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28663723.post-54766625615889446832013-01-04T04:37:24.980-06:002013-01-04T04:37:24.980-06:00Remember the 'shortage' of pork they were ...Remember the 'shortage' of pork they were claiming a couple months back? Guess what. There was a trade 'deal' made with El Salvadore. Beginning in March, butchered pork will begin shipping from that country.

Now - if any of you don't know, other countries are not regulated anywhere near the extreme choking that this country's food growers endure.

Remember when eggs were bad for you? And then they were good. Same with milk.

The crap being dished out is nothing more than a means for making room to introduce something else off the wall, behind the curtain on the stage where our government continues to bow to its audience, expecting kudos for nothing more than, "but it looks good.. don't it!"

But we keep voting blooming idiots into places where they should never belong.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12121820035844661657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28663723.post-16983268798493507472013-01-03T21:17:53.422-06:002013-01-03T21:17:53.422-06:00I go with my gut...
