Once they know their is a purpose to their motion like feeding or something. Good luck.Maggiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08645641129813500105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28663723.post-85501293030501282782008-03-02T15:00:00.000-06:002008-03-02T15:00:00.000-06:00Ah, Dexters! I love these cows.

They are very smart, and very good at getting out of their pens! They will also learn to come to you (at a full run!) for grain, and I had one that was halter-trained.

Ours were so hardy, friendly, and gave such good milk. Good luck with yours!Anna Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09392881021927019092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28663723.post-75591445522634787332008-03-02T09:34:00.000-06:002008-03-02T09:34:00.000-06:00abba, they are really not that big. I have had my eye on Dexters for awhile now. They are great! Good luck to you.

Maggie, cows have the same intellegence level as dogs. Something that isn't said much because people might stop eating them. So it is possible that your grabdpa was calling them. Check back tomorrow, I've got proof :DPhelanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08250080326099834661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28663723.post-17860487522697655632008-03-02T08:42:00.000-06:002008-03-02T08:42:00.000-06:00Yikes those are some beast. I kid you not .....something like, "hey Bessie hey bessie", maybe this was just for show but I remember distinctively seeing the cows come in for dinner or an evening in the barn. Maybe that will come after they are more comfortable in their new home:)Maggiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08645641129813500105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28663723.post-69336166107007496692008-03-01T21:18:00.000-06:002008-03-01T21:18:00.000-06:00hi - wandered by, like your site.
