It makes it hard to see the joy. The best part is that I get to get very dirty and have a wonderful excuse for it. {I'm such a tom boy} Maybe next year I will be able to afford some help. Right now though, my husband works outside of the home {in the city} and I work from home. Money is tight. Our goal is to be able to sell our surplus and not have to work. {We still will though, I love writing and my husband loves building motorcycles}Phelanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08250080326099834661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28663723.post-1154017225103339422006-07-27T11:20:00.000-05:002006-07-27T11:20:00.000-05:00You're really an inspiration. Not have to deal with traffic, annoying city noises, or office cubicles. It sounds like a lot of hard work, doing what you do, but you seem to get enjoyment out of it, so it's worth it, right? Like the post above states, it would probably be a lot easier on you if you had some help. Maybe hire a local teenager to help out part time?Juleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14558132244688635245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28663723.post-1154015626447507032006-07-27T10:53:00.000-05:002006-07-27T10:53:00.000-05:00I so admire your commitment to make your dream com...I so admire your commitment to make your dream come true, and to stick with it despite the odds, risks, naysayers and predictions. I have just one thing that I would suggest you remember: the old timers were lucky. Yes, lucky. Both adults, and often parents, worked the homestead. The children were raised to work too...they didn't have as many distractions (school, television, video games, boy scouts, etc). As time has gone by the old timers have figured out how to do it with less people but as you say, they haven't shared much.

I think you are doing a great job of learning how to make this work...I know that soon you will be able to look at the results of your hard work and be proud.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
